Easy way for meeting planners to remember you!
Meeting planners and executives who hire speakers don't need a speaker until ... they need a speaker!
I speak at a lot of conferences where there are typically dozens of other speakers. I craft my speech to be memorable because I know I'm in competition with other speakers who are there to get business.
But being "memorable" is more than just delivering an awesome presentation that engages and inspires the audience. A successful speaker must also know and apply business strategies to stay in touch with their audience months and years down the road.
This is what I've gotten fairly good at and is one main reason why my speaking can pay the bills+.
So think about it ... if a speaker doesn't stay on top of mind, there's a good chance they'll be forgotten about. I learned this the hard way when I first started speaking. I was speaking a lot but I wasn't getting as much business as I hoped ... and needed! I was frustrated and nearly quit on many occasions.
But when I started doing what I'm about to show you, everything changed.
My prior audiences, including meeting planners, event organizers and executives, started inquiring more about my presentations and speaking fees. Because I was doing this, they remembered me when they needed a speaker!
It's not that complicated to stay on top of mind down the road ... but from my experience knowing other speakers, most struggle with what I'm about to share with you. Even if they know about it, they don't do it.
"It's not what you know, it's what you apply."
Roughly 80% of my speaking business comes from people who have seen me speak. They remember me because I stay in touch with them. As a result they know they how to reach me when they need a speaker.
So how do you stay on top of mind so a meeting planner remembers you when they are planning their event?
