Check this out ... 2 reasons speakers MUST have a book!

Reason #1:

Speakers without a book are significantly less likely to get speaking gigs.

Explanation:

Speakers are almost always being compared to other speakers - especially by conference committees selecting keynote speakers for their events. So if speaker #1 doesn't have a book, but speakers #2, #3, and #4+ are all published authors, then who misses out? Obviously speaker #1. Speaker #1 loses the upper hand - and the gig - simply by not having a book.

Furthermore, speakers are expected to be experts in their subject matter now more than ever. Being a published author is a formidable statement of proof that they are an expert in their knowledge.

And furthermore, furthermore, I recently was told by a senior event organizer who purchased 300 copies of my book when they hired me, "Kevin, I only book speakers who have written a book. If they haven't written a book, I don't consider them as a serious speaker."

So if you're a speaker hungry for more speaking gigs, if you're tired and frustrated of not getting the speaking leads you want, or you're just starting out and motivated to excel your speaking career more quickly than most, you have to write a book.

The GOOD NEWS is that writing a book can take just a few weeks as compared to years as previously ASS-umed. In fact, if you have your manuscript written, I could have your book in-hand and up on Amazon in less than 2 weeks. All you need to do is write the darn thing. (Even editing, formatting and cover design should only take a few days.)

Reason #2:

Speakers who have not written a book are leaving thousands of dollars ON the table with each contract.

Explanation:

See below. It speaks for itself.

As you can read above, having a book added another $2,000+ to my speaking contract.

Not only did I get the gig, but I got PAID MORE because I had a book!

Friends, I have numerous ways to leverage my book and I'm sharing two of them in this blog.

If you're serious about speaking but you don't have a book, then you must understand how important it is to write one as soon as possible.

If you're serious about speaking but don't think you have what it takes to write a book, then, respectfully, get over yourself! That mindset is not only holding you back from expanding your speaking opportunities, it's holding you back financially from becoming a full-time professional speaker.

When I wrote my first book, I struggled with that mindset. I didn't know if my book was good enough. Heck, I didn't know if I was even good enough as a speaker.

But over time, I learned how to talk about my book through my speaking. Slowly, my speaking started selling my books. Eventually, my books started selling my speaking.

Now, my book(s) and my speaking go hand in hand. Yours will too once you know how to leverage them together.

I'm a teacher at heart. I grew up in a family of teachers. I want to help people in my audiences and I want to help people individually like you become better speakers and authors.

I'd love to help you write your book. I'd love to help you in your speaking.

In my speaker coaching programs, I blend in author coaching to help them write a book.

Later this week, I am going to be announcing my first ever PAID to SPEAK group coaching program.

I'm calling it PAID to SPEAK in 5 Weeks and it's 5 weeks of intense coaching and support to help launch you and your speaking business like never before. It's going to be limited to 10 people and it's going to be loaded with AWESOME VALUE!
